Prot. No. 10/2009
Let the Holy Spirit reform us!
Dear Confreres:
By the present letter I wish to remind all those who plan to attend the Historical and Theological Symposium on the Centennial Anniversary of Renewal and Reform of our Congregation to send the attached questionnaire to its organizers no later than February 25, 2009. It regards our confreres of the Divine Providence Province, because members of that Province declare their participation in the Licheñ Symposium and pilgrimage in accordance with the guidelines defined by their Provincial Superior.
The program of the symposium and pilgrimage was sent to every Marian house last December.
In principle, everyone is invited to participate in the symposium, provided that proper arrangements with their superiors are made. I am aware of the fact that traveling to Poland will be difficult for many reasons, including financial ones, for the confreres from outside Europe. However, I ask that at least representatives of overseas communities attend this symposium. I most warmly encourage the Marians from Europe, particularly Central and Eastern, to come in large numbers.
Information as to celebrations of the Jubilee Year, conferences for days of recollection, and questionnaires to register for the symposium are available on our Website at: www.padrimariani.org and also www.jubileusz.marianie.pl.
Also, I would like to remind you that main celebrations are held in Mariampole, Lithuania, at the tomb of Bl. George Matulaitis-Matulewicz on July 19, 2009. Shortly, the Lithuanian Vicariate Superior, Very Rev. Vytautas Brilius, MIC, will send every Marian community a form for registering your participation in the event.
Please pray for the abundant fruits of the Jubilee Year. I am sending you my warmest greetings,
Jan M. Rokosz, MIC
Superior General
