A movie about Fr. Stanislaus Papczyński on Channel 1 of the Polish Television
Father Stanislaus will be the first Polish saint canonized in the Jubilee Year of Mercy. Who was he, and why does this historical figure continue to be relevant in the 21st century? The answers to these questions will be provided by the movie that will air at 12:40pm, Sunday, March 20, 2016, on Channel 1 of Polish Television.
Father Papczyński lived in the 17th century. He is remembered as a prophet of the Immaculate Conception of the Mother of God, as a great advocate of praying for the dead, and an ardent patriot and advisor to King John III Sobieski. Father Stanislaus’ textbook on rhetoric served many generations of Polish students, including Fr. Stanislaw Konarski, Founder of the National Education Commission.
Blessed Stanislaw is the patron of unborn children, couples wishing to start a family, and children with learning difficulties.
The movie was produced by the newly created group MARIANUM MEDIA under the auspices of the Association of Marian Helpers and the Fr. Stanislaus Papczyński Museum.
