For Skórzec, the Feast of Exaltation of the Holy Cross is a particularly important event. Pilgrims from many different locations arrive — often on foot —to give glory to our Lord in the mystery of His Cross.
In the evening hours of Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, pilgrims made the Way of the Cross following the paths of the Skórzec Parish from Dąbrówka Stany to Skórzec.
On the day of the feast, in addition to liturgical celebrations of the Holy Mass, everyone was invited to pray the Rosary at 8 p.m., followed by the adoration of the Cross, and concluding with the Holy Mass at 9 p.m. The main Mass was celebrated at the Shrine on Sunday at 12 p.m.; it was presided over by the rector of the Marian Fathers’ seminary in Lublin, Fr. Dr. Tomasz Sekulski, MIC. After Mass, the faithful were able to kiss the relics of the Holy Cross.
