Italy, Rome: The Pilgrimage Begins

June 1, 2016 — Marian priests, brothers, and seminarians began arriving in Rome from around the world on June 1, for the canonization of the Marians’ Founder, Blessed Stanislaus Papczynski, which will take place on June 5, at the Vatican.

Father Kaz Chawlek, MIC, the Marians’ provincial superior based in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, welcomes the many pilgrims with an opening Mass at Church Village, where many of the Marians are staying.

June 1 is the feast of St. Justin, also known as Justin the Martyr (100-165).
