The Chapter members, after morning prayer and meditation, celebrated the Mass with Fr. Dainis Kašs, MIC, superior of the General Vicariate in Latvia, as the main celebrant. In his homily, he focused on the saints of today’s feast, Sts. Cyril and Methodius, and on their role in the evangelization of Central Europe.

During the sessions, the proposals approved by the Chapter Committees were discussed and voted upon.

Celebrating the Jubilee of 350 years since the Founding of the Congregation of Marian Fathers and 114 years after its renewal, the 59th  General Chapter of the Congregation, prompted by the desire to express outwardly the founding charism of St. Stanislaus our Father, faithful to the contemporary teaching of the Church and listening to the voice of the confreres, decided to restore in the Congregation the possibility of using the white habit, without obliging anyone to do so.

The new paragraph in the Constitutions requires the confirmation by the Dicastery for Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, and then it will be promulgated by the Superior General.
