On July 31, 2026, the memorial day of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, one of the patrons of the Congregation of the Marian Fathers, the General Vicariate of the Marian Fathers in Rwanda, placed under the patronage of the Mother of the Word, experienced a landmark event with the official service ceremony between Fr. Jean Pierre Rwamisare, MIC outgoing superior of the Vicariate and his successor Fr. Joseph Mukasa Musoni, MIC.

The ceremony was held at Kibeho religious house, in the presence of the outgoing and incoming council members of the Rwandan Vicariate in a spirit of communion and continuity. Father Jean Pierre Rwamisare, MIC, presented a detailed assessment of his three years of service at the head of the vicariate, highlighting the notable achievements as well as the challenges overcome through faith, perseverance and collaboration.

The highlight of the ceremony was the exchange of official documents, including the Constitutions & Directory of the Congregation, the Statutes of the Vicariate, financial reports, bank documents and the official seals of the Vicariate. This symbolic act embodies the continuity and sustainability of the service of the Marians for Christ and the Church.

Souvenir photos were taken to immortalize this important moment, illustrating fraternity and unity within the local Community. This event testifies to the unwavering commitment of the Marian Fathers to serve the Church with dedication and fidelity, inspired by their charism of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Immaculata Virginis Mariae Conceptio, sit nobis salus et protection.
