The first Divine Mercy Conference of its kind in Sri Lanka took place from January 16th to 18th, 2026, at the Shrine of St. Anthony in the Diocese of Badulla.

The conference was organized by the Marian Fathers serving in Sri Lanka, thanks to their zealous work in promoting Divine Mercy, which is proclaimed with exceptional fervor and diligence by their local superior Fr. Jan Migacz, MIC.

The event was sponsored and blessed by Bishop Jude N. Silva, who joyfully supports the missionary and formation ministry of the Marian Fathers in his dioceses.

Father Lukasz Mazurek, MIC, a retreat leader and Director of the Divine Mercy Apostolate in London, UK was a special guest at the event and daily prayer among the numerous faithful gathered.

In addition to his four conferences, there was also an opportunity to hear his testimony of faith and religious vocation, which he shared with the postulants, novices, and seminarians of Sri Lanka during a meeting organized especially for them.

The guest from United Kingdom also preached the Word of God at every Mass last Sunday, enthusiastically inspiring all participants with his zeal for listening to and fulfilling the Word of God. Throughout the week, Fr. Lukasz also held special classes with the Marian novices and met with immense gratitude with the diocesan priests who ignite the spark of Divine Mercy in Sri Lanka.

Thanks be to God for all His goodness, and may the fruits of the three-day Conference and fraternal meetings strengthen all involved in boldly professing their faith in God full of Love and Mercy.
