On July 11, 2026, in the cathedral of the Diocese of Ruhengeri in Rwanda, two Marian deacons, members of the Rwandan General Vicariate, were ordained to the priesthood. Bishop Vincent Harolimana, the local ordinary, presided over the ordination. The new priests are Fr. Placide MIC and Fr. Jean Pierre MIC. They also received their assignments; Fr. Placide MIC will serve at the Marian Center in Kibeho, and Fr. Jean Pierre MIC has been appointed vicar of the parish in Ruyenzi. May the Lord bless their priestly ministry Pro Christo et Ecclesia.
