Poland, Skórzec: First vows of the Marian novices

For Brothers Pavel Fedarovich and Konstantsin Huszcza (both natives of Belarus), Sept. 8, 2012, marked the last day of their year-long novitiate. On that day – the feast of Nativity of Our Lady – they made their first religious vows before the Fr. Provincial, Paweł Naumowicz, MIC. Marians from Poland and abroad attended the ceremony along with the parents of the newly professed, the altar boys, the choir, and the local faithful.

In his homily, Fr. Provincial emphasized the important role of the vows made by the Brothers. He explained in great detail the meaning of obedience, poverty, and chastity not only in the religious life, but also in the daily life of every man. In conclusion of his homily, addressing the newly professed, the Provincial pointed out the essential value of dedicating one’s time to one’s neighbor, especially to the neighbor in need.

Following the Holy Communion, Brothers Pavel and Konstantsin gave thanks and flowers to the Provincial and their educators: Fr. Rafał Gniazdowski, MIC (the postulancy moderator) and Fr. Roman Frąckowiak, MIC (the novice master). The newly professed also thanked their parents, relatives, friends, and parishioners, and commended themselves to their prayers. After the ceremony, the newly professed left for vacation. They will start their seminary studies in Lublin this October.
