Today (February 7) began with common prayers and the Eucharist celebrated by the Superior General, Fr. Andrzej Pakuła, MIC, according to the formulary of St. Stanislaus of Jesus Mary Papczynski. In his homily, Fr. General highlighted God’s initiative: i.e., the gift of love given to him by the Holy Spirit for Mary Immaculate, to which St. Stanislaus responded with his entire life.
After breakfast, the Chapter members gathered for an organizational session, commenced the Chapter and adopted the Chapter’s instruction and program. Scrutineers and the Chapter Secretary were elected. After the organizational session, the reporting session began. The Superior General, Secretary General and General Treasurer presented their reports, followed by the Provincials from Poland and the USA. More reports are scheduled for tomorrow.
